Wier Boyd

 Wier Boyd was born 14 September 1820 in Hall County, Georgia. He married 9 February 1843 in Dahlonega, Georgia Sarah Jane Sitton. He died 10 November 1893 in Dahlonega. He served in the CSA and was ranked Colonel for the Boyd Volunteers. Served many public offices including Senator and as a judge.
Sarah Jane Sitton was born 30 December 1824. Died 26 July 1905 in Dahlonega, Georgia. They had 8 children.

i. Augustus Franklin BOYD was born 16 August 1844 in Dahlonega, Georgia. He died 16 May 1863 near Vicksburg, Mississippi. He served in the CSA and was killed at the Battle of Bakers Creek near Vicksburg. There is an honor memorial for him in Dahlonega, Georgia. This picture was taken just a few days before he was killed when he was back home in Dahlonega to recruit more men and pick up supplies. Augustus Franklin Boyd

iii. Marion Goodman BOYD was born 9 January 1850 in Dahlonega, Georgia. Married (1)Ellen J. KcKee13 May 1880; (2) Lanny Sitton 17 Mar 1895.
iv. George G. BOYD was born 4 October 1852. Died 1852
v. Martha Jane (Mattie) BOYD was born 24 October 1854 in Dahlonega, Georgia. Married 28 Jun 1877 Dahlonega, GA B. Palmer Gaillaird. Died 7 June 1925 in Dahlonega, Georgia. 7 children:
