William R. Boyd born on 5 Apr 1850 in
Hartville, Wright County, Missouri. He died on 22 Feb 1911 in Ozark, Christian County,
Missouri. He was buried in Oddfellow Cemetery, Ozark, Missouri.
Was a Deputy Sheriff hired by his brother-in-law Sheriff Zach
Johnson during the Bald Knobber's trial and hanging. Was also a Public
Administrator for Ozark, Missouri during the early 1900's.
Though born in Hartville, Missouri, in the late 1850s his parents
and family moved to Huntsville, Arkansas and then in the early 1860's
they moved to Ozark, Missouri.
Married 1st 8 Apr 1877 in Ozark, Christian County, Missouri Martha
F. Marley had 5 children: Everett Boyd, Goldie Boyd, Evalina Boyd,
