Sir Thomas Boyd born Scotland. died 9 Jul 1439 Scotland. In 1439 he killed Sir Alan Stuart at Polmaise Thorn, between Falkirk and Lenlithgow. In revenge, Thomas was killed 9 Jul 1439 by Alexander Stuart at Craighaught, Renfrewshire. Married;
Lady Isabel. Children were;
i. Robert Boyd, 1st Lord Boyd. Died 1482.
Married Mariota Maxwell. Robert fled to England in fear of
being executed for kidnapping King James the III.
ii. Sir
Alexander Boyd. Had a daughter Margaret who married David
Cathcart. Alex was executed for his participation in the kidnapping of
King James the III.
iii. Janet
Boyd married John Alexander Maxwell.
iv. Margaret
Boyd married Alexander Montgomery, 2nd Lord Montgomery.
Had a son;
