Alexander Boyd and Janet Colville Family
Alexander Boyd 3rd Lord Boyd, died 1515 in Scotland. Charter in lands of Ralestown, in the Barony of Kilmarnock 30 Nov 1492. In 1494 he was designated as "Filuis Roberti, Quandom Domini Boyd" and was made Bailie and Charmberlain of Kilmarnock for the crown in 1505. Chosen by parliament in 1489 to collect the bygone rents and casualties in Stewerton and Kilmarnock. Married;
Janet Colville of Ochiltree, daughter of Sir Robert Colville. Children were;
i. Robert Boyd, 4th Lord Boyd. Died 1557 Scotland. Killed
Patrick Montgomery of Irvine and Hugh Montgomery of Lainshaw. Married Helen
Somerville.

Boyd, 1st of Penkill, which castle he possessed in 1532. Married
Helen
Kennedy before December 1531. Died September 1572. Tombstone at Old Dailly by
Penkill. Two sons;
