16. Samuel N. BOYD was born on 24
Nov 1818 in Hall County, Georgia. He served in the military on 28 Mar 1839 in
Kelloggs
Station, Lumpkin County, Georgia. He died on 20 Aug
1909 in Ozark, Christian County, Missouri. He was buried in Ozark Cemetery, Ozark,
Missouri. This information taken from Pension records of the Indian Wars which were filed
in Topeka, Kansas. It lists Samuel as a private in Captain Barkers' Company of the Georgia
Volunteers. He was married to Priscilla WOOD on 8 May 1842 in Forsyth
County, Georgia. I have actual copy of document of wedding from Forsyth Co. Courthouse.
He and Priscilla left Georgia not too long after they were married.
Priscilla's parents and siblings also left with them. They first went
into Tennessee, where Priscilla's sister, Parthenia met Francis Marion
Qualls and they married. They left Tennessee and headed for Arkansas
and settled there for a while. The Qualls family stayed in Arkansas.
Around 1848 Sam and Priscilla, Andrew and Charity arrived in
Hartsville, Wright County, Missouri. Samuel
served as a judge in Hartville, Wright County, Missouri. Priscilla's
father died here. In 1849 or 50 they moved to Ozark, Christian County,
Missouri. Charity went with them. Samuel also was a judge here in
Christian County, Missouri in the 1860's. |
| 17. Priscilla WOOD was born on 10 May 1822 in Hall
County, Georgia. She died on 20 Dec 1902 in Ozark, Christian County, Missouri. She was
buried in Ozark Cemetery, Ozark, Missouri. Children were: |

i. Sarah
Ann (Sally) BOYD was born on 30 Mar 1848 in Hartsville, Wright County, Missouri. She
married James S. Johnson on 24 September 1873 in Christian
County Missouri (this was his second marriage; he married first
Hannah Dean). She died on 2 May 1930 in Ozark, Christian County, Missouri. She
was buried in Ozark Cemetery, Ozark, Missouri. They had no children. He
had 1 son, Zachariah A. Johnson who married Maggie Boyd,
sister of Sarah Ann Boyd. |

8 ii. William R. BOYD. born on 5 Apr 1850 in Hartville, Wright County,
Missouri. He died on 22 Feb 1911 in Ozark, Christian County, Missouri. He was buried in
Oddfellow Cemetery Ozark, Christian County, Missouri. Was a Deputy Sheriff
hired by his brother-in-law Zachariah Johnson during the Baldknobber
era. Later became a Public Administrator for Ozark,
Missouri. He married (1st) Martha Frances Marley about 1877 in
Christian County, Missouri. They had four daughters. He married (2nd) Mary Ann
HOLLAND on 31 Dec1890 in Ozark, Christian County, Missouri. They had 10 children. |

Margarett (Maggie) BOYD was born on 26 Dec 1854 in Hartsville, Wright County, Missouri.
She died on 22 Jun 1900 in Ozark, Christian County, Missouri. She was buried in Oddfellow
Cemetery, Ozark, Missouri. Married Zachariah A. Johnson on
18 March 1877 in Christian County Missouri. Zachariah's father was James
S. Johnson who married Sally Boyd, Margarett's sister.
Zachariah Johnson was the sheriff of Christian County during the
Baldknobber era. He was the sheriff that hung the 3 Baldknobbers for
their crimes.

Lydia Francis BOYD was born on 20 Oct 1865 in Ozark, Christian County, Missouri.
Married (1) Joseph D. Roberts on 30 November 1885 in
Christian County, Missouri; (2) Richard E. Birran. She died on
14 Jan 1947 in Ozark, Christian County, Missouri. She was buried on 16 Jan 1947 in Ozark Cemetery, Ozark Missouri. She had one son by each
