the Chicago Cubs Organization in 1939 in St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., Missouri. He served in
the military in from 1943 to 1945 in the U. S. N. Honorable Discharge from the US Navy. Served
aboard PT boats during WW II. He resided at 1101 North River in Jun 1952 in Independence,
Jackson County, Missouri. He married Estelle Lucille GARDNER on 26 Jul
1940 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.

Cimarron, Gray County, Kansas. Died 13 Nov 1997 in Independence, Missouri. Buried 15 Nov
1997 Mound Grove Cemetery, Independence, Missouri. She resided at about 1924 in Topeka,
Shawnee Co., Kansas. She resided at about 1925 in St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., Missouri. She
played professional womens basketball and softball in St. Joseph. She met her husband when
both were playing ball. Children were: |

Porter BOYD was born on 6 May 1948 in Independence, Jackson County, Missouri. He
graduated in May 1966 in Independence, Jackson County, Missouri. Attended William Chrisman
High School He graduated in May 1970 in Columbia, Missouri. Attended The University Of
Missouri. Degree in Electrical Engineering. Married 13 Jun 1970 in
Raytown, Missouri Connie Sue Michael.

Lawrence Gardner BOYD. Born 15 Jun 1952 in Independence, Missouri. Married Myra
Carmelle Hicks on June 14, 1980. Married second
Ramona Hopkins on 27 January 2000 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Retired on October 2007 after service 36 of government service with the
USAF for 3.5 years and 32.5 years with the National Weather Service.
